Date of News Release: 05/02/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - Samuel Young was operating a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina mini-van northbound on the Pennyrile Parkway. The mini-van was hauling a two-axle U-Haul trailer. As he was traveling northbound, a strong gust of wind struck the trailer causing it to sway. Mr. Young lost control of the vehicle and it exited the roadway. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side in the median and the trailer came to rest upright in the median. Mr. Young had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Hopkinsville Fire Department. All three subjects (Samuel Young, Floyd Baker III & Johnathon Swartz) were transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Young and Mr. Baker were wearing seatbelts.
