Drug Arrest in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 04/24/2008

(Hopkins County) - Tpr. Oughton and Tpr. Komar were patrolling in the city of White Plains when they observed a vehicle parked at the city park. The vehicle had been involved in a previous complaint. The troopers stopped to speak with the driver of the vehicle. While speaking with the driver, Chad E. Love age 22 of White Plains, KY, the troopers obtained consent to search the vehicle. During the search, they located marijuana in the vehicle. After placing Mr. Love under arrest, troopers found marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his person.

He was charged with the offenses:

  1. Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Meth
  2. Possession of Marijuana
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense

He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
