Felony Arrest in Caldwell County

Date of News Release: 04/20/2008

(Caldwell County) - On April 20, 2008, at approximately 0044 hours, State Police dispatch received a complaint from a residence on Cadiz Road outside of Princeton, KY in reference to a Molotov cocktail that was thrown into a kitchen window. The homemade explosive device set fire to the inside of the residence through the kitchen window causing moderate internal property damage. A female resident was sleeping inside the home at the time the explosion occurred. No injuries were sustained as a result of the incident. After further investigation, a second Molotov cocktail was located that struck an exterior garage door but did not explode.

Kyle Harper was charged with Arson 1st Degree, and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. Darrell Harper Jr. was charged with Arson 3rd Degree. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where they were processed and lodged.

The incident is currently under investigation by Trooper Derek Smith of the Kentucky State Police.
