One Injured in Single Car Collision on US 62

(Muhlenberg County) - James D. Foster was operating a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer westbound on US 62 approximately 2 1/2 miles west of Greenville. Mr. Foster's vehicle was pulling a boat. As he was traveling westbound, the vehicle tires dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Foster was unable to regain control and his vehicle continued off the roadway. It came to rest after striking a road sign at the intersection of US 62 and Doss Road. Mr. Foster was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Michael Dennis investigated the crash that occurred on April 16, 2008 at 1:28 p.m. Tpr. Nathan Knight, the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
