One Injured in Motorcycle Collision on KY 181

(Todd County) - Mike Ross was operating a 1999 Honda Valkyrie motorcycle northbound on KY 181 approximately 7 miles south of Elkton when a deer entered his path of travel. Mr. Ross attempted to avoid the deer, but was not successful. Mr. Ross' motorcycle struck the deer causing him to lose control. The motorcycle overturned on its side and slid into a ditch. Mr. Ross was transported by ambulance to a landing zone in Elkton. He was then flown by Life Flight to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Ross was wearing a helmet.
