Clandestine Lab Incident Investigation & Arrest in Webster County

(Madisonville, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 2 received an anonymous complaint about Jeffrey T. Smith Manufacturing Methamphetamine at his residence. Upon units arrival at the residence, a strong odor consistent with Manufacturing Methamphetamine could be detected coming from within the residence. Movement could be heard coming from within the residence. After knocking on the door and announcing Kentucky State Police presence, contact was made with Mr. Smith and consent was given to search his residence. Upon searching the residence, several items were located that are common with Manufacturing of Methamphetamine. Mr. Smith was also found to be in the possession of a quantity of Methamphetamine and Marijuana. Several items of Drug Paraphernalia were also found throughout the residence. Mr. Smith was arrested without incident and lodged in the Webster County Jail. Mr. Smith was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense- Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense.
