Felony Drug Arrest on Greenville Road in Christian County

Date of News Release: 03/29/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - Trooper Newby was conducting a traffic stop on a 1986 Mazda truck due to minor traffic offenses. Tpr. Newby conducted a search of the prisoner and located a small bag of methamphetamines. The passenger, Ms. Johnson, was placed in custody as well. Tpr. Newby also located various items of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle during the search of the vehicle.

Kenneth Johnson age 29 of Hopkinsville KY was charged with Rear License Not Illuminated, Failure to Wear Seatbelt, No Registration Receipt, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree(Meth), Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree(Meth), Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense, Failure to Notify Dept. of Transportation of Address Change, DUI 1st.

Rose Johnson age 32 of Hopkinsville KY was charged with Failure to Wear Seatbelt, Failure to Notify Dept. Of Transportation of Address Change, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree(Meth), Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree(Meth), Public Intoxication.

Both were lodged into the Christian County Jail.
