Drug Arrest in Christian County

(Madisonville, KY) - On Sunday, March 9, 2008 at approximately 11:51 a.m., Tpr. Mark Franklin conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Charles E. Johnson age 34 of Fountain Inn, SC. Tpr. Franklin had observed Mr. Johnson's vehicle facing north in the northbound lane on Pembroke Road; however, he was driving in reverse against the flow of traffic. Tpr. Franklin located several pill bottles with no labels on them containing Lortabs and Valium. Mr. Johnson also had marijuana and drug paraphernalia on his person. Mr. Johnson was arrested without incident. He was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.

Charles E. Johnson was charged with:

1. Reckless Driving
2. No Seatbelt
3. No Proof of Insurance
4. Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st
5. Possession of Marijuana
6. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
7. Possession of Controlled Substance 1st-Drug Unspecified
8. Tampering With Physical Evidence
