Wanton Endangerment Arrest in Christian County

(Christian County) - On Thursday, March 6, 2008 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Tpr. Michael Dennis came upon a vehicle in the median on US 41 A approximately 1 mile north of Oak Grove. Tpr. Dennis stopped to render aid. The vehicle's operator advised Tpr. Dennis that her husband, Mark A. Shields, had forced her vehicle off the roadway. Tpr. Dennis was able to locate Mr. Shields. After interviewing Mr. Shields and inspecting Mr. Shield's vehicle, Tpr. Dennis arrested him without further incident. Mr. Shields was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (2 counts) & Leaving the Scene of an Accident and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center. Neither Mrs. Shields nor her passenger was injured.
