Pursuit in Madisonville, KY

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - On Tuesday, March 04, 2008 at approximately 12:50 p.m. CST, the Madisonville-Hopkins County Central Dispatch received a complaint of a domestic dispute located at 539 Richmond Drive in the city limits of Madisonville. Upon the Madisonville Police Department's arrival, the suspect, David A. Bryant age 41 of Madisonville, KY, fled the scene in a 1998 Plymouth van. As Mr. Bryant fled the scene, his vehicle struck MPD Officer William Yandall's cruiser.

Officers from the Madisonville Police Department pursued Mr. Bryant which led to the pursuit continuing outside of the city limits. Officers from the Earlington Police Department, Mortons Gap Police Department, Nortonville Police Department and the Kentucky State Police assisted in the pursuit and the apprehension of Mr. Bryant. During the pursuit, Mr. Bryant's vehicle struck both the Earlington and Mortons Gap Police Chief's cruisers.

Mr. Bryant is currently receiving medical treatment at the Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained during the pursuit. Charges against Mr. Bryant are pending from both the Madisonville Police Department and the Kentucky State Police.

MPD Officer William Yandall was not injured. Earlington Police Chief Chris Proctor and Mortons Gap Police Chief Danny Heggen were both transported to the Regional Medical Center for treatment.
