Drug Arrest in Muhlenberg County

(Muhlenberg County) - Trooper McPherson observed a passenger car driving carelessly on US 431 South and conducted traffic stop at the intersection of Exit Road. After Trooper McPherson made contact with the driver, Jacqulyn Bogusiewicz, he suspected that she was under the influence of drugs. She exited the vehicle to conduct field sobriety test, but refused to cooperate and listen to verbal commands from Trooper McPherson. Ms. Bogusiewicz retrieved items from her pocket and threw them into the ditch while Trooper McPherson attempted to place handcuffs on her. During the struggle Ms. Bogusiewicz bit Trooper McPherson on his right index finger and he was forced to use his taser. Ms. Bogusiewicz was then placed under arrest and Trooper McPherson retrieved a bag of suspected crack cocaine weighing approximately 14 grams, and six small baggies of suspected methamphetamine with a total weight of approximately 2.5 grams that Ms. Bogusiewicz had thrown into the ditch. Trooper McPherson also located digital scales, Lortabs, and other items of Drug Paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Ms. Bogusiewicz was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

Jacqulyn Bogusiewicz, age 27 of Browder, KY was charged with Careless Driving, DUI 1st Offense, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, Assault 3rd Degree Police Officer, Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense - Cocaine, Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense - Methamphetamine, Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd Degree 1st Offense - Drug Unspecified, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, Disorderly Conduct
