Felony Arrest on Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County

Date of News Release: 02/24/2008

(Christian County) - While running stationary radar on KY800 Trooper Manzanares observed Mr. David W. White's vehicle traveling eastbound on KY800. The vehicle's license plate was not illuminated. Trooper Manzanares followed the vehicle onto the Pennyrile Parkway and conducted a traffic stop. Trooper Manzanares noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When the driver's operator's license was run, it was learned Mr. White was wanted in Muhlenberg County for probation violation. Mr. White was arrested on charges of rear license plate not illuminated, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs 1st offense, failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st offense and probation violation. Mr. White's passenger Melinda R. Tucker of Greenville, KY was also arrested and charged with execution of a bench warrant for failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st from Muhlenberg County. Both subjects were lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
