Inclement Weather Creates Driving Hazards Throughout The Post 2 District

Madisonville, KY - The ice and freezing rain have made driving across the Post 2 District both dangerous and difficult. As a result of the inclement weather, troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville have investigated 14 motor vehicle crashes as of 1:30 p.m. CST today. Of the 14 crashes investigated by the Kentucky State Police, some involved minor injuries. There have been no fatalities reported in the Post 2 District. The Kentucky State Police have also assisted numerous motorists who were stranded due to the inclement weather.

Roads throughout the Post 2 District remain slick and hazardous. Many are covered with ice and slush. Traveling on them is not recommended. Please do not contact the Kentucky State Police for road conditions. The Kentucky State Police request that you call the following numbers for road conditions in your area:
