Post 2 Sergeant Promoted to Lieutenant

Madisonville, KY - On Saturday, February 16, 2008 Sergeant Bobby Murray of the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville was promoted to lieutenant. Lieutenant Murray began his career with the Kentucky State Police in February of 1999.

After graduating from the state police academy, Lt. Murray was stationed at the Madisonville Post and assigned to patrol Webster County. He transferred to the DESI (Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations) West Section in 2001. In 2004, he was stationed at both the Mayfield and Frankfort Posts. In June of 2005, he returned to the Madisonville Post. In August of 2005, he was promoted to sergeant and remained assigned to the Madisonville Post as the squad sergeant of Webster and Hopkins Counties. Upon being promoted to Lieutenant, he remained assigned to the Madisonville Post as the operations lieutenant. Lt. Murray is 34 years old and currently resides in Slaughters.
