Assault 1st Degree & Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree Arrest

Dawson Springs, KY (Hopkins County) - On January 20, 2008 at approximately 5:02 p.m., KSP Detective Lonnie Kavanaugh arrested Darrin W. Matheny age 41 of Dawson Springs, KY at the Dawson Springs Police Department. Mr. Matheny was charged with Assault 1st Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center. The charges stem from an ongoing investigation concerning Mr. Matheny's involvement with a female victim. Mr. Matheny is accused of causing serious physical injury to the victim and restraining the victim which exposed her to a risk of serious physical injury. The investigation is continuing by Detective Lonnie Kavanaugh.
