Drug Arrest on KY175 in Muhlenberg County

Madisonville, KY - Trooper Brandon McPherson conducted a traffic stop on Mr. Dakota W. Lear for failure to dim headlights. During the traffic stop Trooper McPherson had Mr. Lear to exit his vehicle to conduct field sobriety tests. Mr. Lear failed to comply with verbal commands and was placed under arrest.

Trooper McPherson located approximatley 3.3grams of Methamphetamine, some crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia in Mr. Lear's possession. Mr. Lear was arrested without further incident and placed in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Mr. Lear was charged with Failure to Dim Headlights, DUI 1st aggravated, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense - Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense - Methamphetamine.
