Escapee from the McCracken County Regional Jail Has Returned

An image of Chad Toy, click here to enlarge in a new window(Paducah, KY) - At approximately 2 P.M. this afternoon (11/17/2008), Kentucky State Police was notified that escaped inmate Chad Toy had returned to the McCracken County Regional Jail. Mr. Toy was serving a sentence for Theft by Deception over $300 and was facing pending charges of Robbery, Receiving Stolen Property, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor and Contempt of Court. Mr. Toy now faces an Escape 2nd charge. The investigation is continuing with Trooper Trent Weaver. McCracken County Sheriffs Department and Paducah City Police assisted Kentucky State Police.

Date of News Release: 11/17/2008

(Paducah, KY) - At approximately 3 AM this morning (11/17/2008), Chad L. Toy , escaped from the McCracken County Regional Jail. He is described as a 23 year old white male, 5ft 7", 140 lbs, blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing an orange jail jumpsuit. According to the jail staff, Chad Toy was assigned to a cleaning work detail inside the facility prior to his escape. The McCracken County sheriff's deputies and Paducah PD were on scene within minutes. McCracken County K-9 tracked the escapee south on 7th st for about 1.5 miles with negative contact with the inmate.

Chad L. Toy was serving a sentence for theft over $300 and has the following charges pending: Robbery, Receiving Stolen Property, unlawful transaction w/minor, and contempt of court. The escapee should be considered dangerous so if anyone sees him, do not approach him, but dial 911 or contact your local police or the Kentucky State Police.
