Trafficking in Marijuana within 1000 Yards of a School Arrest in Graves County

Date of News Release: 08/22/2008

(Mayfield, KY) - Trooper Thomas Clifton and Trooper Joe Gregory were conducting an investigation in Mayfield when they observed suspicious activity on East Broadway that was unrelated to their original investigation. Upon contacting the individuals and conducting an investigation, the two men were arrested and charged with the variety of drug charges listed. The Mayfield Police Department and the Graves County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrests. The investigation is continuing.

Johnathon Valles was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana within 1000 yards of a school, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Cultivating Marijuana less than 5 plants, and Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change and was lodged into the Graves County Jail.

Chad Wiggins was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana within 1000 yards of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change and was lodged into the Graves County Jail.
