Cultivating Marijuana Less Than Five Plants

(Hickory, KY) - Kentucky State Police received an anonymous tip of a subject on State Route 339 West growing marijuana in his garden. Tpr. Thomas Clifton and Sgt. Jonathan Grant responded to investigate. Troopers were able to see marijuana in Mr. Kim L. Clark's garden from the roadway and subsequently made contact with Mr. Clark. During the investigation Troopers also found a small amount of marijuana inside the residence. Troopers seized four marijuana plants, approximately 5 ounces of marijuana, and a large amount of indoor grow equipment. Mr. Clark was cited into court for misdemeanor Cultivation of marijuana, and his wife (Shirley Clark) cited into court for misdemeanor Possession of marijuana. Tpr. Clifton and Sgt. Grant were assisted on scene by Tpr. joe Gregory.
