Cultivation of Marijuana Arrest in Graves County

(Boaz,Ky) A Boaz man is arrested after troopers located marijuana growing behind his home. On July 15th, Kentucky State Police received a tip that Raymond L. Adkins, 47, was growing marijuana behind his home on Wice Church Road in Graves County. Troopers T.J. Williams and David Archer responded to the address and located Mr. Adkins. After receiving permission to search the property, troopers located 3 mature marijuana plants growing behind the residence. A search of the home yielded the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Adkins' bedroom.

Mr. Adkins was arrested and charged with a 2nd offense of cultivating marijuana less than 5 plants. Mr. Adkins was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia 2nd offence. The cultivation and paraphernalia charges are felonies. Mr. Adkins was lodged in the Graves County Jail on a $2500.00 surety bond and was released Tuesday evening.
