Remington Arms Theft Investigation and Arrest

(Hickory, KY) - An investigation by Kentucky State Police leads to the arrest of three men involved in stealing firearms from Remington Arms Company in Hickory, KY. In May, Trooper Trevor Pervine received a complaint from the Remington Arms production facility near Mayfield. The complainant alleged that an employee was stealing rifles from the plant. After multiple interviews with suspects, investigators learned that at least 10 rifles were stolen from the plant some of which had been sold for various amounts. The investigation led to the arrest of Benjamin Dejarnett, 23, of Hickory. Dejarnett was charged with (4) counts of receiving stolen property. During the course of the investigation two other men were arrested. Dylan Pendel, 22, of Fancy Farm, was charged with (6) counts of theft of a firearm. Lotraun Woods, 32, of Paducah, was charged with (4) counts of theft of a firearm. All charges are felonies.

The investigation is continuing by Trooper Trevor Pervine and Detective Jerry Jones with the Kentucky State Police. The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is also assisting in the investigation.
