Receiving Stolen Property Investigation

(Mayfield, KY) - On June 06, 2008 Adams Heating and Air reported a theft of copper wire. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that there had been similar disappearances of copper from their business. It was determined that West KY Recycling had been purchasing the stolen copper and not reporting the purchases as required by law. The business owner, Edward Langston, was summoned to the Graves County District Court for violation of KRS 514.110 Receiving Stolen Property and KRS 365.250 Failure to Register/Report Purchase of Copper, etc. The investigation is continuing Trooper Eric Fields.
