Injury Collision on KY 1241 in Graves County

(Graves County) - Mr. Roy Smith was traveling southbound on KY 1241 and was attempting to make a left turn into his driveway. Mr. Smith failed to see Meghan Shelton, who was traveling northbound on KY 1241, and turned directly into her path, resulting in a head-on collision. Roy Smith was taken by ambulance to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah and Meghan Shelton was taken by private vehicle to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Both operators were wearing seatbelts. The accident was investigated by Trooper Joe Gregory. He was assisted on the scene by Trooper Eric Fields, Mayfield/Graves Co EMS, and Melber Fire Department.
