Injury Collision on KY 999 in McCracken County

(Hickory, KY) - Vehicle operated by James Stamper was travelling westbound on KY 999. The vehicle operated by Tracy McClure was travelling southbound on KY 1241. Witnesses stated that Mr. Stamper's vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and hit Ms. McClure's vehicle on the drivers side. After hitting Ms. McClure's vehicle, Mr. Stamper's vehicle travelled through the intersection and came to final rest facing southbound on KY 1241. After impact, Ms. McClure's vehicle went through the intersection, struck a culvert causing the vehicle to overturn in a field where it came to final rest. Trooper Wommer was assisted at the scene by the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, Mercy Regional EMS, PHI, and the Lone Oak Fire Department.
