Injury Collision on KY 80 in Graves County

(Hickory, KY) - A vehicle operated by Tyler Burgie was traveling north on KY 121 near Farmington when he approached the intersection of KY 80. A vehicle operated by Lora Cope was traveling east on KY 80. Mr. Burgie failed to stop at the stop sign located at the intersection and traveled into the path of Ms. Cope's vehicle. Ms. Cope was unable to avoid a collision and collided with the driver side of Mr. Burgie's vehicle. Trooper Joe Gregory, who was patrolling the area, witnessed the collision and responded immediately. All people involved were injured and transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. Mr. Burgie was cited for disregarding a stop sign. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Mayfield Police Department and the Mayfield/Graves EMS. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Joe Gregory with the Kentucky State Police.
