Marshall County Jail Escapee

(Benton, KY) - A Marshall County Jail inmate walked away from his work detail this afternoon in Calvert City. James M. Porche was last seen at approximately 12:30 PM trimming weeds behind the Calvert City Civic Center. Shortly after discovering Porche's disappearance, Marshall County Jail staff notified State Police to begin an investigation. It is unknown if Porche left the area on foot or in a vehicle. Porche has family in Metropolis and Olympia Fields, Illinois. Porche was last seen wearing a dark blue pullover shirt and khaki pants and has a tattoo on his right arm. Porche was serving a 15 year sentence for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Persistent Felony Offender out of McCracken County. The following is a description of James Martin Porche.
