Graves County Jail Inmate Escaped

(Mayfield, KY) - Kentucky State Police are investigating the escape of a Graves County Jail inmate who walked away from his work detail this afternoon (5/8/2008). At approximately 5:00 PM the Graves County Restricted Custody Center contacted State Police stating that Christopher P. Parker had walked away from his work detail at the Garden Apartments in Mayfield. Parker, who was weed-eating the apartment grounds, was last seen by other workers at approximately 4:00 PM. It is unknown how Parker left the area or who he might be in the company of. Christopher Paul Parker is originally from Dayton, Kentucky in Campbell County. Parker was an inmate at the restricted custody center after being convicted of Burglary 2nd in Campbell County in 2007. Parker was serving a 10 year sentence. Christopher Paul Parker is described as the following:
- 28 Years Old
- White Male
- Strawberry Blonde Hair
- 5'6" Tall
- 150 LBS
- Blue Eyes
- Multiple tattoos on upper body
- Last seen wearing khaki pants and brown t-shirt
