Pursuit in Calloway County

(Murray, KY) Trooper Russell Boyd, while on patrol in Calloway County, attempted to initiate a traffic stop for reckless driving. After initiating the traffic stop the vehicle failed to yield. The pursued vehicle continued south on KY 121 South for approximately 12 miles before stopping. The driver of the vehicle, Mr. Charles E. White of Murray, KY, was arrested and charged with Speeding, DUI 1st, Fleeing and Evading 1st, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container. The passenger, Mr. Ralf N. Miller of Murray, KY, was released. Mr. White was lodged in the Calloway County Jail. Trooper Boyd was assisted by Trooper Donald Bowman, Trooper Tim Sales, and the Calloway County Sheriff's Department.
