Injury Collision on US 45 in Graves County

(Hickory, KY) - A Chevrolet S-10 operated by Brittany Hoover was traveling north on US 45 in Graves County. Ms. Hoover began to make a left turn onto KY Highway 849 when her vehicle stalled; stranding her vehicle across the southbound lanes of US 45. Hoover made numerous unsuccessful attempts to re-start the engine. During that time, a Chevrolet van operated by Gail Stewart was traveling south on US 45. Ms. Stewart approached Hoover's vehicle which was still stalled in the roadway. Ms. Stewart, unable to see the stalled vehicle ahead, hit the passenger side of Ms. Hoover's truck. The collision resulted in injuries to all parties involved. Dennis Lee was injured most seriously and was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville for multiple injuries. All other (Brittany Hoover, Gail Stewart & Peggy Lee) parties were taken to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for various injuries.
