Bomb Threat at the Tyson Chicken Plant in Henderson County

(Henderson, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 16 received a complaint of a bomb threat at the Tyson Chicken Plant in Henderson County at approximately 3:30 P.M. on December 31, 2008. Plant officials advised that a thorough search of the plant and the property had been conducted with no indication of an explosive device being present.
The bomb threat was discovered in writing in a restroom inside the plant. The investigation led to Gary Widner, 20 years old, of Madisonville being the primary suspect. During an interview, Mr. Widner confessed to writing and leaving the threats. Mr. Widner was arrested and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree.
