Post Sixteen Trooper Honored at Ceremony

(Henderson, KY) - On Thursday, December 04, the Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards Ceremony was held in Lexington Kentucky. Law Enforcement Officers from around the Commonwealth were recognized for their ability to detect, apprehend and assist in the prosecution of impaired drivers.
Trooper Mitch Hampton from the Kentucky State Police, Post 16 Henderson received the Governor's Award for Impaired Driving Enforcement. This first award recognizes Trooper Hampton as a leader in the apprehension of impaired drivers among all law enforcement officers state wide. Trooper Hampton also received the Governor's Award Division 6 for Impaired Driving Enforcement, which recognizes Trooper Hampton as a leader among troopers in the Kentucky State Police. Trooper Hampton arrested 124 impaired drivers during the enforcement period between October 01, 2007 and September 30, 2008.
Trooper Hampton is currently assigned to Henderson County. He began his career with the Kentucky State Police in June 2004.
