Injury Collision on Green River Road #1 in Henderson County

(Henderson, KY) - Misty Jones, operating a 1996 Jeep Cherokee, was travelling on the gravel section of Green River Road #1 near the intersection of KY 414. For unknown reasons, she pulled off the side of the road and into a ditch. When she attempted to reenter the roadway, her vehicle got stuck. In an attempt to get out of the ditch, she over accelerated and turned the steering wheel sharply to the left. This caused the vehicle to exit the ditch out of her control. The vehicle went into a spin, slid off the road and overturned, coming to rest upside down. All of the vehicles' occupants except for 1. Joseph Reese were able to climb out of the vehicle. 1. Joseph Reese was pinned inside the vehicle and was extricated by the rescue squad and fire dept. He was transported to Henderson Methodist Hospital by ambulance. All the other occupants were taken to the hospital in private vehicles. All occupants were treated and released.
