Injury Motorcycle Collision on KY 266 in Henderson County

(Henderson, KY) - Jerry Leon Hammers II, operating a 2001 Yamaha Motorcycle, was travelling southbound on KY 266. He failed to negotiate a curve, lost control of the motorcycle. Mr. Hammers & the motorcycle slid approximately 70 feet before leaving the roadway & going into a ditch line. Mr. Hammers & the motorcycle slid roughly another 60 feet before coming to a final rest against an embankment. Mr. Hammers was transported to Community Methodist Hospital in Henderson & was later transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville Indiana where he was admitted to the ICU for his injuries. Trooper Sandusky with the Kentucky State Police is continuing the investigation with charges pending.
