Wanton Endangerment Investigation and Arrest in Henderson County

(Henderson, KY) - The Kentucky State Police were holding a traffic safety checkpoint on US 60E near the Spottsville bridge. Derik Johnson was operating a 1991 Toyota, approached the checkpoint from the east. Mr. Johnson failed to stop, running through the checkpoint, nearly hitting three officers. Mr. Johnson continued westbound on US 60, went across the Spottsville bridge where he ran off the north side of the road. Units located Mr. Johnson and placed him under arrest for 3 counts of wanton endangerment. Mr. Johnson was lodged in the Henderson County Jail.
