Fugitive Arrested

An image of Christopher Adkins, click to open in a new window(Henderson, KY) - The accused, Christopher Adkins was indicted on 12-19-2006. He was released on bond on 12-23-2006. Adkins failed to appear in Ohio County Circuit Court on 10-08-2007. A failure to appear warrant was immediately issued. While Adkins was a fugitive, it is alleged that he went to the victim's residence. Adkins was approached by Chuck and Michael Radcliff while he was near the victim's residence in Beaver Dam. Adkins left the area nearly striking the two men with his vehicle. A warrant for Stalking 1st degree, Bail Jumping 1st degree, and 2 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree was issued for the accused on 11-05-2007. Detectives Bryan Whittaker and Angela Jones received information that the fugitive was traveling between Elizabethtown and Louisville. The detectives began conducting surveillance in those areas with the assistance of the United States Marshall's Service. On Wednesday, March 12, 2008 Christopher Adkins was arrested and brought back to Hartford, Kentucky to answer the original charges of Rape 1st, Rape 3rd. Burglary 2nd, and Unlawful transaction with a minor 1st. He was also arrested on the warrant issued 11-05-2007. Adkins is currently lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
