Drug Investigation of Henderson Police Officer

(Henderson) - In December 2007 the Henderson Police Department requested Kentucky State Police conduct an investigation regarding possible abuse of prescription medications on Henderson Police Officer Jim Morgan. Detective Louis Weber conducted the investigation and presented the findings to the Henderson County Grand Jury on March 4, 2008 and a true bill was returned for 27 counts of Attempt / Obtain a Controlled Substance by Fraud / False Statement to a Practitioner. On March 5, 2008 Morgan was arrested and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
