Double Fatality Collision on KY 69 & KY 1164 in Ohio County

An image of the fatal crash, click here to enlarge(Henderson, KY) - At approximately 11:04 AM There was a two vehicle fatal collision at the intersection of KY 69 and KY 1164 (Cedar Grove Church Road). The driver, James B. Moses Jr was operating a blue 1994 Ford passenger van West on KY 1164 (Cedar Grove Church Road). Mr. Moses had his wife, Klela Mae Moses as a front seat passenger. The driver, Todd M. Taylor was operating a 1992 International truck and trailer Northbound on KY 69. According to a witness, Mr. Moses stopped at the stop sign then made a left turn onto KY 69. Mr. Moses appeared to have failed to yield right of way to Mr. Taylor. The front driver's side of Mr. Moses van struck the front of Mr. Taylor's truck. Both vehicles traveled off the West side of KY 69. Traffic was blocked for approximately 2 hours while the scene was cleared. Mr. and Mrs. Moses were pronounced dead at the scene by the Ohio County Coroner Jerry Bevil. Mr. Taylor was transported in a privately owned vehicle to the Ohio County Hospital for treatment. His injures did not appear to be life threatening. Alcohol does not appear to be involved. The collision is still under investigation. Trooper Chris McKee, a collision reconstructionist is assisting in the investigation.
