Update to the Missing Person From Indiana

On Friday September 26, 2008 Post 15 received the following information from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office in Franklin, Indiana.

An image of George R. Brown (Columbia, KY) - On September 25th 2008 investigators of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department went to Wisconsin to interview Charles (David) Doss. During that interview, Charles (David) Doss admitted to his involvement in the death of George Brown. Charles (David) Moss admitted to shooting George Brown on his (Mr. Browns) property, placing the body under a tarp and then placing tires on top of the tarp in order to hide the body.

Armed with a search warrant, investigator's recovered a body on the property of George Brown on the Thursday, September 25th. The identity of the victim is unknown at this time. The Coroner's office is assisting in the investigation and is awaiting DNA test results to positively identify the body.

On Friday September 26th Charles (David) Doss waived extradition in a Wisconsin court room and was brought back to Indiana by Johnson County Deputies. Johnson County Sheriff Terry McLaughlin stated that the recent success of the case was due in large part to the recovery of the vehicle and subsequent investigation by Detective B.J. Burton of the Kentucky State Police adding that he was very appreciative of his (Detective Burtons) help and the two agencies cooperative efforts.

An image of George R. Brown (Columbia, KY) - Investigators from Franklin County,Indiana met with KSP Detective Burton on 08/12/2008. After further investigation it is believed that foul play could be involved.

(Columbia, KY) - On August 11 around 1600 hours the Monroe County Sheriffs Dept. located a 2003 white Ford F350 pickup approximately 9 miles east of Tompkinsville off of Ky Hwy 100. The vehicle was determined to belong toGeorge R. Brown of Trafalgar, Indiana who was reported missing on June 15, 2008. Mr. Brown was not located with his vehicle. He is a 67 year old white male, 6'0" tall, 225 lbs., blue eyes and brown eyes and has a history of diabetes and high blood pressure. He was last seen in Indiana and was reported to have been traveling to the Lake Cumberland area.

(Columbia, KY) - On Monday, June 23, 2008, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office began a missing person's investigation after the victim's family reported him missing. George R. Brown of Trafalgar, Indiana was last seen in Indianapolis on June 15, 2008 and family members and friends have not seen George Brown or his vehicle since that time. George Brown was last known to be driving a diesel, White, 2003 Ford, F350, 4-Door One-Ton truck, Indiana license plate # 1298 (Similar to photo to the right)An image of a truck similar to George Brown truck. The truck also has a white camper shell with no windows in it and an aluminum colored lift door on the back which would have a "Howco Cap Sales" tag on the bottom left corner of the lift door.

George R. Brown of Trafalgar is a 67 year old male who suffers from Diabetes and High Blood Pressure. He is 6'00" tall, weighs 225 lbs, has Blue eyes and Brown hair. George Brown was last seen in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sunday, June 15, 2008 and witnesses reported that he was possibly going to be traveling to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky within the next few days.

Investigators are trying to locate this man and are asking the public for their assistance in locating George Brown or his 2003 Ford, F350, 4-Door truck.
