Arrest Made in the Death Investigation in Monroe County

(Columbia, KY) - At 11:30 a.m. on 4/21/08 Det. George Atwood arrested Kenneth Gregory Hodges age 50 of Monroe County and charged him with Murder. Mr. Hodges was lodged in the Monroe County Jail.

(Columbia, KY) - Around 1:00 P.M. the Tompkinsville Police Department received a call about a possible death on Crawford Street in Tompkinsville. Officers responded to the scene and found the deceased, Randall E. Page white male Age 76 in the residence. Kentucky State Police was notified and responded to the scene. Detective George Atwood along with several other units from the Columbia Post arrived on the scene around 2:30 P.M. The Monroe County Coroner, Jackie Walden, pronounced Mr. Page deceased around 1:30 P.M. Detective Atwood advised the death appeared to be caused from a stabbing. An autopsy will be conducted next date in Louisville to determine the exact cause of death. Anyone with any information please contact Kentucky State Police in Columbia or the local Police Department.
