Theft Investigation and Arrest in Washington County

(Columbia, KY) - On March 26, 2008 around 2:30 pm Washington County Deputy Sheriff Jackie Robinson requested assistance from the Columbia Kentucky State Police Post reference a high dollar jewelry theft at the residence of Tommy and Bonnie Hamilton.

The victims gave a detailed list of jewelry that was stolen. Leads were developed and a two carat diamond ring was recovered at Lebanon jewelry store. Suspect information was obtained from the store owner.

The suspects were located a short distance from their residence at Willisburg. Another two carat diamond ring was recovered from the female suspect. A search of the residence revealed several pieces of jewelry which had not been missed by the owner, but was identified by the owner. During the search an indoor marijuana grow was located at the residence of the suspects.

This was investigated by Trooper Donnie Moses, Trooper Les Moses, Trooper Nathan Rhodes and Washington County Deputy Jackie Robinson. Arrested were Wesley Lynn Hardin WM age 37 and Leann Rebecca Riley WF age 27 both of Willisburg.
