Fatal Collision on KY 80 in Adair County

(Columbia, KY) - Bridgett Karnes age 44 of Columbia, KY was traveling west on KY 80 and failed to stop her 2007 Chevy Pickup at the bridge construction site and struck an unoccupied vehicle, causing a chain reaction that involved 4 other unoccupied vehicles. The collision possibly caused by a medical condition. Bridgett Karnes was pronounced dead by the Adair County Coroner. An autopsy is scheduled for 3/5/2008 in Louisville.
