Injury Collision on US 68 in Marion County

Date of News Release: 03/01/08

(Columbia, KY) - Dale Garen, age 57 of Seymour MO., Shirley Morris, age 63 of Campbellsville KY., Catherine Browning, age 61 of Campbellsville KY., & Christie Stiths, age 34 of Brandenburg KY were all traveling west on US 68. Ms. Stiths slowed her vehicle for an unknown reason. Mr. Garen attempted to avoid collision striking Ms. Morris' vehicle causing Ms. Morris' vehicle to strike Ms. Browning's vehicle whose vehicle then struck Ms. Stiths' vehicle.

Mr. Garen was operating a 2006 Peterbilt and was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the collision.

Shirley Morris was operating a 1997 Chevy and was wearing a seatbelt and was treated and released from the Springview Hospital.

Catherine Browning was operating 2004 Mercury and was wearing seatbelt and was not injured in the collision. Ms. Browning's passenger Cameron Leake age 10 of Lebanon, KY was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the collision.

Christie Stiths was operating a 1996 Chevy and was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Ms. Stiths's passengers Devin Stiths age 6 & Kennedy Stiths age 2 were both restrained and both were not injured.
