Fatal Collision on HWY 2565 in Lawrence County

(Ashland, Ky) - On 10/17/2008 at approximately 1447 hours Lawrence County 911 received a report of an accident on HWY 2565 at the junction of U S HWY 23 in Louisa. The commercial vehicle was stopped on HWY 2565 at the red light. The victim was traveling north bound on U.S. 23 in a 1999 Pontiac 4 door white when she left the roadway striking the trailer of the commercial vehicle coming to rest under the trailer. The victim (Letha B. Goble age 64) was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Deputy Coroner and the juvenile passenger was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginal. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured. Accident remains under investigation by KSP Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Dustin Thompson.
