Armed Robbery Arrests

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested two Louisa residents in connection with the January 7, 2008 armed robbery of Rite Value Pharmacy in Louisa, KY. Robert Marty James was arrested on a traffic stop on Greenbriar Road yesterday evening around 1730 hours. This came after authorities received an anonymous tip of his possible whereabouts. Terry M. Howard was arrested at his residence without incident early this morning

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland are seeking the whereabouts of a Lawrence County resident believed to be responsible for the armed robbery of the Rite Value pharmacy late Monday evening. Robert Marty James of Louisa, KY is wanted in connection with the robbery of this pharmacy. James is described as a white male, age 41, approximately 6'3 225 pounds with short brown hair. James should be considered armed and dangerous and residents are asked to contact the Kentucky State Police with any information concerning the location of James.
Detectives are still seeking information to identify the other suspect in the robbery. Anyone with any information on either suspect are asked to call Detective Jim Goble at 606-928-6421 or 1-877-416-1208.

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland are investigating an armed robbery of the Rite Value Pharmacy located on KY 644 in Louisa, KY. The incident occurred yesterday 1/7/2008) evening when two men came into the pharmacy and one of the men brandished a handgun to a pharmacy employee. The two men left with an undetermined amount of Oxycontin and cash. The men stole a truck (2007 Black Pickup), which was owned by the pharmacist and parked in the pharmacy parking lot, then fled the scene. The abandoned truck was located a short time later in a wooded area near Rockhouse Road, which is close to the pharmacy. Trooper Shawn Podunavac and his K-9 (Kalub) were summoned to the scene in an attempt to track the suspects but they were unsuccessful. Investigators feel the suspects fled in another vehicle, which may have been parked nearby the abandoned truck.
Both suspects were wearing masks and gloves and wearing camouflage attire. One suspect is described as being 6'3" to 6'5" white male/ slender build /short light-colored hair. The other suspect is approximately 6'0" slender build but his mask covered his entire head. Employees were able to identify his eye color as blue.
