Clarence Tester Arrested in Wolfe County

An image of Clarence Tester, click here to open in a new window(Hazard, KY) - On 03/03/08 at approximately 12:10 a.m. Clarence Tester, the perpetrator whom allegedly shot his estranged wife at Hardees in Breathitt County was arrested by the Kentucky State Police without incident.

He was apprehended at a residence in Wolfe County. Tester is lodged in the Three Forks Regional Jail on the charge of Assault 1st. The investigation is continuing by Det. Dean Craft.

(Hazard, KY) - The search continues today for Clarence Tester who allegedly shot his estranged wife at Hardees in the Jackson community of Breathitt County.

The perpetrator is believed to be in the Wolf County area. He was last saw wearing a gray t-shirt with a pocket on the front, blue work type pants, blue work type jacket and blue ball cap. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 240 lbs. with brown eyes and graying facial hair. Tester is considered to be armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information call the Kentucky State Police or your local police department.


Date of News Release: 02/29/2008

(Hazard, KY) - On 02/29/08 at approximately 2:29 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a 911 call of gun shots being fired at Hardees in the Jackson community of Breathitt County.

Jackson Police Department, Trans-Star Ambulance and Kentucky State Police Troopers were dispatched to the scene.

When units arrived it was discovered that 43 year old Donna Tester had been shot by her estranged husband 54 year old Clarence Tester. The alleged perpetrator then fled the scene in a Chevrolet S-10, which was later recovered in Wolf County. The victim was transported to the Kentucky River Medical Center and later transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition at this time. Clarence Tester is still at large at press time and considered to be armed and dangerous. We are asking anyone with any information to contact the State Police or your local police department. The investigation is continuing by Det. Dean Craft.
