Anderson County Motorcycle Pursuit & Collision

(Frankfort, Ky) - On Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 10:18 PM a Kentucky State Trooper was traveling westbound on US-60 (Versailles Rd) in Fayette County. A motorcycle westbound passed the Trooper at 110 MPH. The Trooper activated his emergency equipment and attempted to stop the motorcycle. The motorcyclist (Bruce A. Baker, age 51 of Verailles, KY) refused to stop and a pursuit began. The eluding motorcycle traveled west on US-60 through Fayette and Woodford County. Mr. Baker continued westbound on the Blue Grass Parkway through Woodford County and into Anderson County. The Motorcyclist exited the Blue Grass Parkway at US-127 a very high rate of speed. Mr. Baker traveled across US-127 and struck a concrete island and lost control. The Motorcyclist was ejected. Mr. Baker was transported to the UK Medical Center Hospital in Lexington by Life Net. Collision is under investigation by KSP and other charges are pending against the driver. The pending charges are: DUI 1st, Speeding, Reckless Driving, Disregarding Stop Sign, No Motorcycle License,Others pending
