Spencer County Burglary Investigation

(Frankfort, KY) - On Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 8:30 AM the victim received a phone call from a male subject identifying himself as a Louisville Police Detective. The male subject calling told the victim he had some forged checks with his name on them. The male subject requested Mr. Searcy to drive to the Louisville Police Substation on 26th street. The victim left his residence and noticed a red and black pickup driving around in his neighborhood. The victim stopped on his way to Louisville to get gas. The victim started feeling suspicious and returned home to check his residence. He opened his garage door and the suspicious red and black pickup is parked inside his garage. He next saw a white male run into his residence. The victim called 911 and minutes later the unknown suspect ran around the house and got back into the pickup. The suspect then drove away. Kentucky State Police investigation has revealed that the unknown male caller gave a bogus name and there is no Louisville Police Substation on 26th street. The pickup is described as a red and black Dodge Dakota pickup. The suspect is described as a white male, 5'6" - 5'7" in height, medium to heavy build, reddish blonde hair and wearing baggy shorts. Kentucky State Police is asking anyone with information about this burglary to call Post 12 Frankfort at 502-227-2221.
