Kentucky State Police Seeking a Possible Witness in a Murder Investigation in Shelby County

(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky State Police needs the public's help in identifying a potential witness in the Shelby County Murder, Investigation. On Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 6:36 PM a surveillance camera located inside the White Castle Chevron Gas Station reveals a possible witness. She is described as a white female with dark hair. No other information about the potential witness is known at this time.
Kentucky State Police is asking the person or anyone who knows the female in the surveillance photo to call Post 12 Frankfort at 502-227-2221. Callers should ask for Detectives Luke Vahoose or Detective Kevin Calhoon.
Kentucky State Police wants to remind everyone that the unknown female is not a suspect, only a possible witness.
On 4-10-2008, Kentucky State Police began an investigation into determining the location of a delivered newborn, after the mother had received medical treatment from the University of Kentucky. At approx. 10:30 P.M., the newborn was located in a trash recepticle near I-64 in Shelbyville, KY, where the newborn was pronounced deceased by the Shelby County Coroner's Office.
On 4-11-2008 an autopsy was performed which lead to the issuance of a warrant of arrest. Charging Tonya Brown of Lexington with Murder. The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police.
