Robbery Investigation in Franklin County

Date of News Release: 04/03/2008

(Frankfort, KY) - On April 2, 2008 at around 4:15 p.m. John Wilson and his two grandchildren (8 and 10 years old) were at his grand children's home on Camp Pleasant Road in Franklin County when a white male walked into the residence. The male subject identified himself as a detective and said he had some papers for Wilson's son and his wife. A few minutes later the white male opened the door of the residence and a second perpetrator entered. Both men were armed with firearms. They took several guns and money from the residence and they left in a newer model white Mercury Marquis.

Description of perpetrators:

  • #1 White male with gray hair and a beard, approximately 6 feet tall and 200 lb. He was wearing a white button up shirt with stripes and brown pants.
  • #2 White male with a green ski mask, camouflage shirt and pants.
