One Killed on US 25 in Rockcastle County Collision

(London, KY) - On Saturday March 29, 2008 at 1:25 PM the Kentucky State Police in London received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash, on US 25, 10.4 miles north of Mount Vernon, KY.
Upon arrival Trooper Staci Walker determined a 1998 Honda Civic was southbound on US 25 when it crossed the northbound lane, traveled approximately 354 feet on the shoulder, struck a bridge abutment and overturned.
The operator, Regina Morgan, 37, of Mount Vernon was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rockcastle County Coroner Billy Dowell. Morgan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected during the crash.
Drug or alcohol involvement is unknown at this time.
Trooper Walker is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by the Brindle Ridge Fire Department, Rockcastle County Rescue, Rockcastle County Emergency Management, Rockcastle County E.M.S., Rockcastle County Sheriff's Office and the Rockcastle County Coroner's Office.
